Meine Interessen sind - meistens - meine verschiedene Webseiten (meine Frau kann das bestätigen!). Einige davon sind nicht mehr auf dem Web zu sehen, und diese sind hier in einige Bilder dargestellt. Die aktuelle Webseiten sind per Hyperlink eingebunden.

My interests are - mostly - my various websites (my wife will confirm that statement!).  Some of these are no longer hosted on the Internet, and these are represented here by a few pictures.  Current websites are connected to this site by hyperlink.

In 2004, I founded a small company in Bulgaria, together with my Bulgarian partner, in order to get into the real estate business there.  The market grew much faster than our resources (= money), and almost all that is left is the website, http://Good2004.bit.  I still keep it up-to-date, but I've added a blog to it. http://blog.good2004.biz.  Our goal now is to develop a reputation as authorities on the market on the Black Sea coast, particularly the  Nessebar-Sunny Beach-Sveti Vlas area

A little later, we decided to buy a house in Italy that we could use as a B&B, and let our retirement money work for us.  What actually happened there is a completely different story.  I will only repeat the statement my father-in-law made more than 50 years ago: "Visit Italy, it's wonderful, but never, never, NEVER move there to live or to work."  What's current with this website you can discover on the blog "B&B For Sale in Italy" at http://Tenuta.info.

Since we were in Italy more often, my wife opened a shop in the eqivalent ot the county seat.  The shop functions as a unique source for specialty items from northern Europe (that means the Alps and farther north).  And it works well, within certain limits.  The second website is named (following the renaming of the shop) La Maison d'Yvette.  http://LaMaisondYvette.com

Danach haben wir der Name "Galleria Yvette Tucci" zu einem neuen Zweck verwendet. Wir haben einen Local mitten in der Altststadt von Marsciano gemietet, und eröffnete einen Kunstgallerie, was aber eignetlich war für dem Verkauf von Möbel und Kunstwerke gedacht. Ich schätze ich war etwas neidisch gegenüber den Erfolg meiner Frau und ihre Laden. Nachdem ich "ausfuhrliche Marktforschungen" gemacht habe, entschied mich eine Bierladen aufzumachen, wo man importierte Biere kaufn könnte. Name: "Meeting Point", also "Treffpunkt" auf Deutsch. Ich wollte hauptsächlich Belgische Biere verkaufen, die man nach Hause nehmen und geniessen könnte. Ich baute auf einen Bibliothek von Taschenbücher in Deutsch, Französisch, Nederlands, Englisch, aber bewüsst nicht Italienisch. Irgendwie war mein Marktforschung fhlerhaft - die Leute die Interesse sechs Monate früher gezeigt hatten sind offensichtlich aus dem Gebiet "geflohen." I schloss den Laden nach nur neun Monaten, aber ich habe noch einige Bilder.

I expect that I was a little jealous of my wife's success with her shop.  After doing "exhaustive market research," I decided to put a shop together to sell imported beer. It was called "Meeting Point".  I wanted to sell primarily Belgian beer that one could take out and enjoy at home.  I also had a library of used paperback books to trade in German, English, French, Dutch - but specifically NOT Italian.  My market research was somehow faulty - the people who had expressed an interest in Belgian beer and thought it would be a great idea apparently left the area!  I closed the shop after only nine months.  A few pictures follow.

JCAP is a barrel of fun that I put together at the start of 2008.  The idea was that it was a sales point for goodies for webmasters, newbies, and would-be webmasters.  I learned many things as I put the site together, and I'm still learning!  Take a look at the site http://JimmyCraigAffiliatePage.com and also it's blog http://blog.JimmyCraigAffiliatePage.com.  You will see there that I have put together another 25-35 websites, most of them so-called info-sites, but a few commercial sites as well.

Jimmy Craig Info is also not 100% new, but it is a WordPress blog. I started with blogs in 2008, and today, I work almost exclusively with blogs. Jimmy Craig Info is essentially a compendium of my website inventory. When you move your browser from JCAP to Jimmy Craig Info, you will get an idea of why I enjoy blogs so much. The "X" above is meant to show that I have roughly 50 websites online today.

 

In spring 2009, I joined together with a partner in Canada, Sue Fleckenstein, to build a "green" website. GHMS is the result. We really enjoy the site, even though we have not yet monitised it properly. But, we're not finished yet!
